It is customary for the Hindus to offer food to the god during the puja - This offer is called Naivedyam (food) to the Lord.
Offering Naivedyam is also a part of the puja process. We offer differnt nivedyam to differnt gods on different occations. On Vinayaka Chavithi occation we offer Kudumulu, Undrallu, Modak and Payasam as Naivedyam.
